About the Greater Cincinnati Modular Railroad Association

GCMRA is a fun and easy way to participate in model railroading. It is a non-profit organization of HO model railroad enthusiasts of various skill levels and interests. Most of these railfans participate in several public GCMRA performances per year by joining together their individual modules which are all built to the same specs. This modularization is a tremendous benefit as it is extremely cost and space efficient.

If you are a veteran modeler, we offer the opportunity to share your experience with others who love trains as you do. If you are a beginner, then GCMRA offers a very inexpensive way to learn, build and operate trains on a huge layout. Our members are a great bunch of folks who are eager to provide as much or as little assistance as you wish.

We are extremely active and growing. Whether you are a beginner or veteran there is no better time than the present to join us!  We enthusiastically seek new members, all that is required is for you to contact us. We will explain the great advantages such as building a module in order to run trains on a huge layout!  Plus meeting new members who LOVE TO TALK TRAINS!

We own the basic equipment; such as switching yards, both analog and DCC (Digitrax) power packs. You simply need to join the club and build a module of any era and/or railroad subject of interest to you.  If you wish, our members will be happy to assist you with construction.

The real fun begins as you participate in one or more of our several public shows.

Complete module specs and guidelines are listed in our Join the GCMRA Club page.
